The start...

During the International Training "All Different - But Together" (4-9 October 2007) Brasov, Romania, an idea for a project was generated. LET'S BALKANIZE has as an aim to re-establish the word balkanize in order to describe unity and not division, to give opportunities to co-operate in Balkan region / break prejudices / unite. The objectives are: to bring balkan youth together, to educate balkan youth and learn about each other and share experience, to create public awareness and inform, promote co-operation and intercultural dialogue. Proposed activities are: balkanization activities, trainings (reconciliation, peace building, conflict management), toolkits, manuals, promotional material, forums, youth exchanges, camp and scientific analysis of data gathered from youth in Balkan. The initial group of the project consists of: Artan (Kosovo), Catalin (Romania), Christina (Hellas), Hakan (Cyprus) and Marina (Croatia). Of course all of you, leaving in the Balkans, are invited to participate. If you like to be our partner, don't hesitate to contact us.
First steps to begin with:
1) Balkanize (search for the meaning through the years!)
2) Let's balkanize questionnaire (search for the proper questions! / how people in each Balkan region perceive the word balkanization nowadays?)
3) Let's balkanize logo
4) and more and more to come...
